Professional Goals
1) What is your BHAG?
I wish to create one of the largest, and most successful, leadership consulting firms in the United States of America.
2) Please also provide a vivid description of life “the way it will be” once your BHAG is realized. (Take a look at the “Teaching Company” example in the Week 5 PPT presentation cited above.)
Hawkins Global Consulting will be the first point of contact for firms seeking leadership assessments, and/or correction. Unlike similar companies, our niche focus will be ‘leadership’ oriented situations. We are not called to help with sales goals, marketing initiatives, forecasting, or other normal consulting jobs. Our company is focused on helping organizations place the right leaders within their proper roles, and build leaders from the inside. In 25 years, I will have reached the age of 63, and by this time, the company will have grown immensely. Hawkins Global Consulting will reach three countries, the United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom. We will have assisted at least ten Fortune 500 companies. Magazines the likes of ‘Fast Company’, ‘Wired’, ‘Forbes,’ and others, will feature our solutions. Lastly, the company’s net-revenue will exceed the high millions, and our employee count will be beyond 100+ colleagues. At this point, I will most like be approximately seven years away from retirement, and on the verge of passing the reigns of the organization over to my son or daughter.
3) How does your BHAG align with your purpose and mission?
My mission statement, “I will help others find the leader inside themselves, and use that confidence that has always been there as a tool for doing great things,” needs a platform/conduit for viability. Hawkins Global Consulting is my vessel for accomplishing my mission statement. My purpose statement, “I am here on this planet to bring joy and happiness into the lives of others,” is derived from accomplishing my mission statement.
