My name is Reginald Scott Hawkins, and welcome to my E-Portfolio for OGL 481 & 482.
I’m 38 years old, and born an raised in the Los Angeles County of California. I currently live in Inglewood, California. It's a fairly large city, and has be featured on numerous televisions shows, movies, and songs. In fact, it's the site of the the new NFL football stadium that will be home field for the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams.
I'm happily married, and have been for the past six years, with no children, yet. I met my wife on E-harmony, but that's a entire story in itself and requires a completely separate web site, which can be found here. I have two substantially older brothers, and my mother and father, who have been married for over 50 years. My Mother-In-Law is great, and treats me like her own blood. My Father-In-Law is like another best friend. I have a great family and I love everyone included.
I have many hobbies. I enjoy playing video games, Xbox preferably, but not limited to. I love the Marvel Universe of movies, Star Trek, and Star Wars; so I guess I'm a geek. I enjoy all sports: Boxing, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, NASCAR, you name it, and I watch it. My favorite teams are the Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, and ASU Sun Devils.
I started college in 1997, but left early to pursue fortunes with a dotcom startup as a programmer/coder. Needless to say, riches skipped by us, and my life took a 180 into retail/banking. But leaving school early turned out to be one the greatest decisions ever, because my second attempt at a college education resulted in having the opportunity to attend Arizona State University. During my youth years, I was not proud to be a part of the first institution I attended. It really felt like I joined because high school counselors advised me that was the way the world works. This time, I had the opportunity to do things my way, with a major that's right for me, and a school I can feel proud to say, "I graduated from there." I'm extremely happy to have that feeling of 'pride' again.
The last ten years have been the best of my life. With my degree, solid family life, and determination, I see a very promising future.
